What’s Up World!

Geez!  I actually got this new site up and running on my own!  I’m excited to be starting this blog because its actually about a subject that I really care about and that is losing weight, being healthy and transforming my life. Although I should clarify that statement about losing weight.

Unfortunately I’ve spent a great deal of time, energy and money devoted to losing weight.  It’s become almost an obsession in some ways.  But for the first time in my life I actually feel like i’m actually on the right track.  My overall goal regarding the my weight is to lose 100 pounds, that would get in at about 180 pounds.  Which is a number I haven’t seen in years.  But losing the 100 pounds really is just one stop in my overall fitness goals–more on that later.

So this blog idea came to me one day as I was walking on this 3.5 mile walk around the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place WA, this was the site of the 2015 U.S. Open.  This walk was killing me!  I don’t walk very fast for some reason; I’d already had several people lap me which was a bit irritating to say the least.  Anyway, out of this walk the idea for this blog was born.

I hope to create a place where others like myself can share our victories, our challenges and what things have worked, and haven’t worked.  All I ask from anyone who follow’s me is to be respectfully of others and there opinions and challenges.  I can’t wait to meet some new friends as I take this journey to lose 100 pounds.
