Keeping the Faith!

Hey what’s up!? I’ve been out of touch lately not because I’d quit or anything just sort of got out of the swing of writing- my apologies to anyone who might actually be following me.

Several weeks back I had an amazing experience when I attended a Billy Joel concert here in Seattle.  The show was truly electric and Billy Joel put on a awesome performance!  One of his classic songs is called “Keeping The Faith,” and that’s what I’ve been doing as I continue on this journey to lose 100 pounds. I’ve realized lately that I’m in the midst of a true lifestyle change and not on some gimmicky fad diet plan that I can’t sustain long term.

When I started this journey I decided that this would be the last time I struggled with weight lose, I was tired of the bullshit of yo yo eating, chasing every diet pill, or new product it was all just bull shit, I am tired of wasting energy and resources on my weight. Well this time has definitely been different; I’m making lasting changes to learn about food, learn about my body, and the why behind hunger, cravings, weight loss, insulin levels…I’m educating myself and it’s been great.

Anyway this post was to let the world know that I’m still here, in fact I’ve lost another 8 pounds. Some weeks are better than other but just like the song says I’m keeping the faith.
